Roadholder is the printed magazine of the Norton Owners Club, comprising 48 full colour pages monthly and is distributed by post to members of the NOC in the UK and Overseas.

The Tornado was featured on the front cover, and also in an extensive article within the August 2014 edition.

Published 1st July 2017, the article chronicles the Tonkin Tornado built by Steve Tonkin for Roger Klobe, and following Steve from the UK to the 2017 Phillip Island Classic to be reunited with Roger and has creation once again. This issue actually features John Tarplee’s JTS T140. What is interesting, is that the editor pays homage to Steve Tonkin’s prowess as a classic bike builder by comparing the build to the meticulous ethos that Steve employs, but specifically to his recent Rob North Replica.

The Bike Shed Times Australia

The Bike Shed times is Australia’s brightest online magazine with news, features and classic bikes for sale.

The article posted in June 2018 was put together by Norton riding Dan Talbot and features Nortons at the 2018 TT.

Within the article was a feature image of one of Steve’s earlier Tonkin Tornados on display at one of the Isle of Man TT exhibitions with the caption “ A “recreated” Manx built in 2014 by former TT winner Steve Tonkin was on show. He’ll build you one for a cool $72,000 AUD.”
